About GFS
Graduate Fashion Show 2026 was a student-led fashion showcase celebrating the work of Final Year Fashion Design Students at the University of South Wales. Organised and produced entirely by students, the event marked the culmination of years of creative development and dedication.
More than a runway show, Graduate Fashion Show was created as a collaborative platform that brought together creatives from across multiple disciplines. Alongside the designers, photographers, videographers, models, stylists, DJs, content creators, production crew, volunteers, and university departments all played an essential role in bringing the event to life. The project provided students with the opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a live event environment while contributing their own skills to a shared creative vision.
From fundraising and sponsorship to production planning, branding, logistics and event delivery, every aspect of the showcase was developed through collaboration and a shared ambition to create something that reflected the professionalism and creativity of the graduating cohort.

Graduate Fashion Show was created by Final Year Fashion Design students led by Philippa Gouldson and James Thomas. Alongside developing our own graduate collections, we shared a vision of creating a runway event that reflected the creativity, professionalism and ambition of our graduating cohort. An idea that quickly grew into something bigger than either of us anticipated.
Throughout the process, Graduate Fashion Show challenged us in ways we could never have anticipated. It demanded resilience, adaptability and a willingness to learn beyond the scope of our degrees. Every decision, from the smallest logistical detail to the overall creative direction, was made with one goal in mind: to create an experience that everyone involved could be proud of.
For us, the success of Graduate Fashion Show isn’t measured solely by what happened on the runway, but by the opportunities it created along the way. Seeing so many students and creatives contribute their skills across disciplines and become part of something much bigger than the event itself is what has made this project so meaningful.
Although the runway has now come to an end, we hope this is only the first step in something much bigger. Graduate Fashion Show reflects our shared passion for creativity, collaboration and producing meaningful experiences that bring people together and we are excited to see where this journey leads next.
